The crawler-mounted mini-crusher is ideal for small-scale demolition and construction projects where space is limited.
General Demolition’s super high-reach excavator, nicknamed ‘The Leveller’, is demolishing two 1960s, 10-storey residential tower blocks at Restell Close in Blackheath, south-east London, adjacent to Maze Hill railway station. The Museum’s £18m Capital City Project, which is scheduled for completion in 2009, will transform the museum into a 21st century visitor attraction retelling the story of London’s history from the Great Fire in 1666 to the present day.

Office refurbishment for former National Trust headquarters
General Demolition is performing pre-demolition and soft stripping works at 36-38 Queen Anne's Gate in St James's, London. The pre-demolition scope includes structural investigation and opening up works to expose columns and remove finishes. All temporary walls and ceilings will be removed to expose the original building fabric. The seven-storey building, which also has two basement levels, was originally built in 1909 and in recent years was the London headquarters of The National Trust.
Epsom knockdown ensures Derby remains dead cert
General Demolition has commenced the second phase of demolition works at the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey as part of an exciting £27.6 million redevelopment programme. The demolition of the Main Grandstand, which was built in 1927, will make way for a new 11,000 capacity grandstand that will be used for events throughout the year. Demolition works are scheduled for completion by the end of September 2007.
Ring of steel surrounds Tudor site demolition
One Tudor Street in London is the former north wing of Unilever House and is situated on the North side of the River Thames close to Blackfriars Bridge. General Demolition is working with main contractor Balfour Beatty Construction to complete the 30-week building demolition programme within the City of London 'ring of steel' security and surveillance cordon. When complete, property developers Halladale Group have planning permission to construct a new 70,000 sq.ft (6,500 m2) office building.
Topman approach to demolition works
General Demolition is carrying out demolition of a seven-storey, 1960s commercial office block at 16-19 Gresse Street. The building is situated in an awkward triangular site adjacent to The Fashion Retail Academy in London's West End, close to Oxford Street. The project, which is situated in a residential area, is scheduled for completion at the end of November 2007 and will pave the way for a new seven-storey office building by developers Derwent London.
Yellow brick road to maintaining heritage
General Demolition has launched a new business unit specialising in the reclamation and re-use of bricks. Based at Walton on Thames in Surrey, General Reclaimed Bricks offers a wide range of yellow and mixed stock bricks to developers, house builders and the building trade.
PFI leader puts trust in General Demolition
General Demolition is performing the phased demolition of over half of the existing site buildings for the redevelopment of the North Middlesex University Hospital in Edmonton, north London. The scope of work includes the demolition of two elevated reinforced concrete access ramps, the Medical Block, the Old Doctors Quarters, the Restaurant and the Receipt & Deliveries facility to provide an open site area. A site waste management plan is maximising resource recovery on the site.
Bulk excavation works completed at 'live' London hospital site
General Demolition has completed a major bulk excavation works programme at the North Middlesex University Hospital site in Edmonton, north London. More than 30,000 cubic metres of inert, non-hazardous and hazardous materials were removed from an area totaling 15,000 square metres, partially vacated by the demolition of four existing hospital buildings.
General Demolition has been appointed by Capital Construction & Development to perform a full range of demolition services at The Power House, Alpha Place in London SW3. The former London Electricity sub-station is one of the most significant residential development sites to come to the market in Chelsea in recent years. Demolition of the seven-storey building involves asbestos removal, soft stripping and 'top down' demolition to the existing concrete ground floor slab. The 15-week demolition programme is scheduled for completion in May 2008.
General Demolition has been engaged by GJD Services, a specialist aircraft decommissioning and asset recovery company, to assist in the demolition and scrapping of a Boeing 747-236B 'Jumbo Jet' airliner for European Aviation Air Charter (EAAC) at Bournemouth International Airport in Dorset. A Doosan DX420LC hydraulic excavator was used to demolish the main body and tail sections of the plane. Work commenced following the removal of the airline's cockpit and tail and the salvage of the wheel assemblies.
General Demolition was called upon by Castle Wildish Estate Management to make safe a four-storey block of flats in Walton on Thames, Surrey, following a major fire. The blaze destroyed the entire top floor of St Clements House on Church Street, a modern, eight-year-old apartment building. With the aid of a 35' crane, General Demolition's eight-man team stabilised the steel framed, brick-clad structure by removing fired damaged areas and clearing the resultant debris in preparation for the erection of scaffolding.

Punk rock legend Jimmy Pursey, founder and former frontman of punk band Sham 69, joined General Demolition at The Star public house in Hersham, Surrey to be presented with memorabilia from the venue of his first ever gig. The Star public house on Burwood Road is being demolished by General Demolition to make way for a new residential development by Hadley Homes of 10 contemporary apartments. The scheme is being project managed by construction consultants Deacon and Jones.

General Demolition has been appointed by Glenkerrin UK to strip out and demolish four buildings adjacent to the Crowne Plaza Shoreditch to make way for a new six-storey extension. The 17-week demolition programme includes asbestos and pigeon guano removal, strip out, demolition, excavation, concrete works, underpinning and piling mat installation. Specialist operations include environmental clean-up, ground remediation, brick reclamation, archaeological works and weatherproofing.
150 New Bond Street, London W1
Demolition of Ireland House at 150 New Bond Street in the heart of London's West End is nearing completion. The former home of Enterprise Ireland and the Emanuel Ungaro retail outlet is being demolished to make way for a new mixed commercial and retail development. General Demolition was appointed by PRUPIM to soft strip and demolish the six-storey structure which is located on the corner of Bruton Street and New Bond Street and presents many logistical challenges.
School demolition to create absolute return for kids
General Demolition has been appointed by Balfour Beatty Construction to perform the phased demolition of school buildings at Walworth Academy in Shorncliffe Road, Southwark, London SE1. The first phase of demolition work involves soft stripping and demolition of the school cafeteria, caretaker's two-storey house and a single-storey outbuilding. The six-week programme is being performed during the academy's summer break.
Stunning baths to be restored to former glory
General Demolition has been engaged by ISG InteriorExterior to perform demolition and strip out works for the £25m regeneration of the Marshall Street Baths in the heart of Westminster, London. The programme includes strip out works in the main baths, the complete demolition of the 'second class' pool, structural alterations to the Soho car park and demolition of the existing Westminster City Council cleaning depot.
